Why I’m jumping into the (somewhat) unknown.

Yesterday I took the biggest step of my life so far, I gave up the security of working for a great company to explore my own ideas. Some build great things out of frustration, for me it has been quiet the opposite. Working in tech recruitment I had the opportunity of meeting some amazing companies, entrepreneurs, candidates who all ended up inspiring me greatly. I also discovered the world of design, startups but most importantly I got to see the real impact my work had on the people hiring or looking to be hired.

I’m a great believer in giving before receiving, building genuine relationships and that’s how I will continue my journey in recruitment. I think that concept often gets lost in this very competitive industry, something I’d love to change. Some of the best candidates I had the pleasure of working with didn’t even turn into placements but great friends instead. And that, to me, is more important than anything else.

β€œIt’s better to give before you receive. And never keep score. If your interactions are ruled by generosity, your rewards will follow suit.”
― Keith Ferrazzi

The hard but amazing work starts here, I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. Have a great weekend everyone, thank you for reading.
